You know, this ridiculous cost of gasoline is really starting to piss
me off. Friggin $4.09 a gallon I just paid today. Food costs have been
going up as a result (because it takes gasoline to move the product via
18-wheelers) and discretionary income nationwide is going in the sewer. It will cost me an arm and a leg when I take the ski boat out to the lake for a smooth slalom ride this
summer. I am spittin' nails these
days. And Jack Ebling wonders why I don’t plan on purchasing Michigan
Basketball tickets next winter.– I mean, get real!!!
Shoot, it will
probably be $5 a gallon by tip time next late November, and would cost
me $35 per roundtrip in gas cost (times 18 home games) just to get from
my home in East Lansing to Ann Arbor and back. Let alone the $50 for a
pair of ducats per game. I will just stay home and watch on the Big 10
Network. Get ready sports fans, because the cost of petro is going to
totally affect the sports world. Pretty soon, very few fans will have
any money to purchase the game tickets,– the key revenue generator. Then the whole thing completely goes in the crapper.
You can call me, Doom and Gloom, but this situation totally sucks and
doesn’t look like it’s going to get better anytime soon!

As the Democratic presidential race draws to a close in
these last weeks, it has been both comical and sad to witness the Hillary
Clinton camp’s attempts to rationalize her strategy to “tough it out”until the
last vote available is counted that seals her political coffin.
Comical because her spokepeople don’t appear
to know or care how patently silly they look crafting each of the serpentine delegate scenarios
which, we are assured, will catapult her to victory. Sad because, for all the
justified criticism of the Clintons,
it gives one no great joy to see this tarnishing of their political
legacy come about. It’s like the
reaction of partygoers to a person that stutters: people laugh, but they’re not
too happy about it . . .
