I have talked at length with Jack Ebling about who was going to get the Democratic Presidential nomination this summer. I contended all along that it was going to be the 'establishment' candidate Hillary Clinton. Meanwhile, Jack, ever the idealist, has felt that the Barack Obama tidal wave would be too strong to knock off.
Of course Jack still has a lot of faith in America's electoral process. I on the other had, hence the title to this column, feel that the process is about as clean and uncompromised as a port-a-potty at Woodstock.
On that note, one of the best Michigan political commentators over the last number of years continues to be Jack Lessenberry of Michigan Radio (WUOM 91.7 Ann Arbor/Detroit; WVGR 104.1 Grand Rapids; WFUM-FM 91.1 Flint). Yesterday, Lessenbery talked with and wrote about the seating or unseating of Michigan's Democratic Delegates, at this summer's national convention in Denver, with Michigan State University Board of Trustees' President Joel Ferguson.
